Elsie lived in Burghley Crescent for ?? years. She was a very loved lady and a great nan to all her grandchildren, an excellent loving mum to all children 2 of which have passed away 1 due to cancer Brenda and 1 Trevor William clare also on this website due to a bad accident on his way home from work and a loving sister to all her brother and sisters.

Elsie passed away on 28th April after a sudden Heartattack and stroke.

Almost every friday night my boyfriend and i would take a walk to my nans and we would all have a takeaway together and watch the soaps which we did the night before she died. My little sister stayed with her that night as she did sometimes on a friday night after school.
I had said to nanny that i would be at hers early saturday morning to go and see her and to pick chantelle up.
I unfortunately did not get to her in time before she had her stroke and heartattack.
My little sister Chantelle Aged 12 at the time of this was getting ready to go to have dinner with nanny as they had been waiting for me and i had not turned up yet. Chantelle had got nannys little Disabled Scooter out of the shed and ready for nanny to go.
Nanny then told chantelle that she has just got to go sit down a minute as she didnt feel well.
When chantelle went back in Nanny was on the Living Room floor having a fit so she called the ambulance and was very brave and followed all the instructions that the person on the phone told her to do.

when the ambulace got to nanny they took her to Grimsby Diana Princess Of Wales Hospital where they said she had had a stroke and Heart Attack so she would unfortunately not survive through the night.

My Auntie Debbie and anyone else that had numbers for family members got in contact with everyone to let them know to get there to say their goodbyes.

Everyone took it in turns to hold her hand give her a kiss and say their goodbyes i was the last one while holding her hand and whispering to her "Its ok now Nanny everyone is here you can go now". Within 5 minutes she had gone.

i was absoluetely devestated and so was everyone else.

we all miss her terribly and will always love her until the day we all meet again.

Love you so much nanny xx

i will never forget the good times we had.
